Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor has it been before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). The manuscript must be free from plagiarism.
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Follow JESS guidelines (acceptable file type: MSWord above 2007 version).
- The submission must include a concise title, names, affiliations, Orcid Ids of all authors and email address of the corresponding author.
- Abstract should be stand-alone without any citation.
- Manuscript Format: Follow JESS guidelines (acceptable file type: MSWord above 2007 version).
- Provide 4–6 keywords for the purpose of increasing the visibility and discoverability of the manuscript.
- Figures and Tables must be numbered sequentially, captioned, and cited properly within the text. Figures must be in high-resolution images/illustrations/diagrams.
- Ensure all references are cited and include DOIs (If available).
- Add acknowledgement after the conclusion section.
- Add ethical, conflict of interest, data availability, funding and Author contribution statements after Acknowledgement.
- Provide supplementary materials as additional data/files if required (if applicable).
- Permissions: Attach permissions for reused or previously published content.
